Siddharth Sehgal

Biography

I am the Research Associate on the STAR project.

I received an undergraduate degree, BSc in mathematics from the University of Delhi, India in 1996 and a postgraduate degree, MSc in operational research from the University of Delhi, India in 1999. I also have a computational background with a three-year professional diploma in network centred computing (2000) and a postgraduate diploma (PgDip) in computer science.

From 2000–2003 I worked as a Software Engineer at SBICPSL which is a joint venture between India's largest bank, State Bank of India (SBI) and the financial service unit of General Electrics (GE Capital).

I pursued another postgraduate degree, MSc in advanced computer science from the University of Sheffield between 2003–2004 and since 2005 I have worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science and Human Communication Sciences.

I am currently working at the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) department. I am involved in the research and development of embedded speech technology in clinical domains such as assistive technology and environmental control systems.

Since 2010, I have been pursuing a part-time PhD from the Department of Human Communication Sciences at the University of Sheffield.
