I am a PhD student working on Technology for Healthy Ageing and Wellbeing within CATCH. My research focuses on the use of technology in the early detection of mental health problems in older adults.
I come from a linguistics background, having obtained a BA in Modern Languages (French, Spanish, Japanese) from the University of Sheffield and an MA in Linguistics from the University of York. For my MA in York, I assessed the feasibility and effectiveness of learning a foreign language in old age as a therapy against cognitive decline.
My research interests are in the psychology of language and the ageing brain, and improving the wellbeing of older adults through innovative assessment and intervention.
