The third event in the 'Applying Relationships Science to Contemporary Interventions' ESRC seminar series (ApReSCI) will take place on Monday 13th October 2014 at the University of Sussex.
ApReSCI is a joint project between the University of Sheffield, University of Southampton, University of East Anglia, University of Bristol, and University of Sussex, funded by the ESRC, featuring seminar events at each institution.
The third event is:
Optimising Engagement with Internet Interventions
held from 11.00am to 4.00pm
School of Psychology, University of Sussex, BN1 9RH
Internet interventions designed to promote and support mental and behavioural health and wellbeing are widely available around the globe. However, uptake and retention for these interventions varies widely and high rates of disengagement are found in many cases. How can we optimise engagement with internet interventions? This seminar, the third event in our series, focuses on the optimisation of engagement with contemporary internet interventions. This event features keynotes from Professor Gerhard Andersson, Linköping University and Karolinska Institute, Sweden, about the potential for personal tailoring to boost the effects of internet treatment for mental health, and from Professor Lucy Yardley, University of Southampton, about a ‘person-based’ approach to optimizing digital interventions.
Attendance is free, travel bursaries are available, and places are limited. View our websites for further information:
