This post offers the opportunity to conduct internationally leading research in any area that is relevant to Systems and Control Engineering, for example, Robotics, Sensing and Actuation, Signal Processing and Decision Support, Data Modelling and Computational Intelligence, focusing on the development of new technologies and services which support older and disabled people to live their everyday lives.

The post will involve working with patients, carers, clinicians, healthcare professionals and external partners to ensure that research is translated into practical solutions with real impact.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Computer Science (Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare)

We are seeking to enhance and expand our internationally leading, multi-disciplinary research portfolio with the appointment of an outstanding individual at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level (the appointment may be at Readership level for an exceptional candidate). This is a strategic appointment aimed at linking the Department of Computer Science with the Centre for Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare (CATCH).

You will hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related area (or have equivalent experience), and will have a track record of high-quality research in an area of computer science related to assistive technology or e-health.
